Journey Update

I haven't updated this as much as I was intending to it's hard thinking of my trip as having an ending.
Well I have since been to Lake Tahoe. It's a very scenic place to visit and has been a highlight of places I have visited with my girlfriend we liked it much more than yosemite national park. We couldn't of enjoyed our stay anymore than we did only it could of been longer we stayed two days. We enjoyed our time together, the view, hiking and bike riding.

It's with a deep sadness that my trip is nearing evermore near the date when I must return alone to Australia. I don't want to go, I don't want to part from my loved one as it will be some time before were able to make a permanent move as it costs a lot. I love life but it's also not always joy it's cruel and saddening at times to.

Quick update on my travels

I have now been to Monterey Bay Aquarium, the place is amazing you can spend a good half day just looking around before you want to venture out and look around Cannery Row.
I saw seals in the wild for the first time and was able to take some good shots, I will update my blog latter with a bigger update.

Big Sur: Andrew Molera state park

I can now say I been to Andrew Molera state park it offers a very enjoyable day out. The drive to it for me was about three and a half hours, the last part of the drive on highway 1 leading into your destination has breathtaking the scenery from the coast line to driving over Bixby Creek Bridge.
Now I might of had a very enjoyable day with my girlfriend and the drive to Big Sur uneventful. The drive back was different! due to car accidents I was stuck at I believe it was coming to or just after Carmel I can't recall now but it was about a two mile long traffic jam for going on towards two hours! A three and a half hour drive home took over five hours! it was very long day.

If you're ever on vacation in CA this is a place you want to get to early and spend the day hiking and enjoying this very scenic area, be sure to pack a few bottles of water and sunscreen it can be rather warm.

small update

I have been having fun since my last update.
I have been to the gym a few times and a trip that was going to be to Stoneridge Mall Pleasanton ended up at Blush Organic Frozen Yogurt Dublin, CA I had pomegranate and dragon fruit yogurt it was good as I was in the mood to try that. I have tried more American beers, I forget the name of the one I liked though... if someone knows a good American beer post a a comment I will welcome suggestions.

Goodguys West Coast Nationals Hot Rod & Custom Car Show

This is just one image from the hot rod show I was at last weekend. It was very big show with over 3,500 rods, customs & classics thru ’54.
I will do another post another day with more images, so much to see at it I enjoyed my day.

I'm far away from Australia! I'm in Sunny California

What was the first thing I noticed, what stood out the most? I would have to say the fact that a lot seems bigger. What do I mean, the cars for one! everyone seems to like owning large suv's whether or not they use it as one.
Then you also see suv's jacked up to heights that seem far absurd driving around they look ready to roll over any moment the owner dares take a sharp turn, what are these people thinking? is it just the look at me factor or something else.The normal sedans are around to but a strange liking to the large gas guzzlers seems rather prominent and I even spotted suv taxi's in San Francisco I mean it's hilly but they can't be cheap to keep on the road.

The other one is at least where I am in California all the homes in the area are two story and large. It's also rather odd for me the shopping centers are oversize, the building is one story but the physical height of it seems to be closer to two stories high. Everything is larger and stands out I guess that's what they want.

What else have I noticed well a lot, much has happened since I have been here. I have seen much and I'm enjoying myself. One last thing before I post this post is the homeless begging for money that's something that is a stark difference to home. If you go to San Francisco you will encounter them and also in Pitsburg.
